Signara Gambia (a registered entity) Launched “Weidi Guiss”” (Seeing is Believing) Project as a demonstration for AgriPower that is integrated into the Gambia’s $30-million dollar 5-year Regional Rice Value Chain Development Project (RRVCDP) funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) for five regional countries to reduce importation of rice by increasing in-country production and processing. Working with Maruo Farms- the liaison for 3000 out-grower farmers and single entry-point into the Gambia’s RRVCDP, with a goal to increase to 30,000 outgrower farmers by 2025. Strategy in place for Signara Gambia to be the supplier of fertilizers and other inputs for these farmers at the conclusion of the study project for a minimum of $4.9Million dollar contract over the 5years.
Partnership with Maruo Rice farms- largest rice farmer in the Gambia . Product demo tests just concluded in June and Maruo is in the process of harvesting and measuring results and impact of AgriPower on yield. Maruo owns 86 Hectare farm and their 3,000 outgrower farmers. Maruo also has an agreement with The Gambia government to expand to 30,000 outgrower farmers over then next 5 years.
